There is a chic commercial area at Connecticut Ave. with shops, restaurants, 5 banks, grocery stores, Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, a restored vintage movie theater, a community library, an old fashioned diner, etc.

The house is 6 blocks from the Friendship Heights Metro station. It is a pleasant walk through a pretty and safe neighborhood with Starbucks and a great deli on the way. If you don't want to walk, there is also a bus, just steps from the house, which can take you to Metro in less than 5 minutes.

The house has three bedrooms and two full baths upstairs. Downstairs is a large living room with a 51" big screen HDTV and fireplace, separate dining room, kitchen, and screened back porch with table and chairs overlooking a large, fenced back yard with a large BBQ/smoker grill and lawn furniture.

For stays of one to two weeks, rent is $300. per day. Rent includes all utilities, good quality linens, wireless internet, cable TV, land line with 24/7 free nationwide long distance, all furnishings, dishes, etc.

For stays of less than a week, rent is $350. per day with a 3-day minimum. Two-day weekends are $450. per day. For all stays, a $1,000. security deposit is required and a $150. cleaning fee.

Rental rates assume normal use of the house for families or groups of up to seven people. Extra charges apply for more than seven people using the house or if you want to hold an event at the house, such as a graduation party.

Separate rates can be negotiated for individuals or couples who only want to rent one room, when available.
