Captains House is Georgian period comfortable holiday home which has been fully refurbished to provide accommodation for 6 holiday makers and includes 3 double bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms and all modern amenities. The rear, south facing, garden is fully walled with garage parking. The property is situated directly loverlooking Southampton Water and has a small shingle beach within 30 meters of the front door. The conservation village of 'Old Hythe' is just 100 meters distance and has a variety of Georgian/modern inns,restaurants and shops including one of Britians best supermarkets, Waitrose. Southampton Port is the home to many of the Worlds leading cruise liners. During the season P&O and Cunard liners are frequent visitors as they make their inward and outward journeys around the world. Throughout the day and night ships of all sizes and types may be seen close at hand as they slip gently past. Cunards new and famous QM2 is a regular visitor and her berth, within view, is almost opposite Hythe. The New Forest National Park is just a 2 mile distant and the Dibden golf course is just 2 minutes drive. Beaulieu with the world famous National Motor Museum and Exbury Gardens with the Steam Train rides through the Rhododondron Gardens are both a 15 minute drive. Within a 10 mile radius there are many attractions.Lymington, the local fishing port, where trips to the Isle of Wight may be made and Lyndhurst, the centre of the New Forest with the Museun of the Forest. A little further from Lyndhurst,Burley known by many for the 'White Witches'. The south coast resort of Bournemouth, with its many miles of sand is just a 35 mile drive part of which is driven through the forest areas. But why travel? Simply sit watching the cruise liners and sailing ships gently passing by your Sitting room window, from Captains House in Hythe. |
