We are looking for a longer (2-3 weeks) exchange in Europe late summer 2011. Ideally something not too far away from the Beach, but open to suggestions in any of these countries, or just surprise us!

Our home is located in beautiful Lang Ranch in Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks. There are an estimated 35,000 Oaks in our city, and with only 6 miles (10 kilometers) to Westlake, a man-made lake surrounded by multi-million dollar houses, you can find a wide range of entertainment, restaurants, parks and scenic views.
Like the beach? Take a 20 minute drive across the Santa Monica Mountains (or stop by and explore some of the many hiking trails) and jump in the Pacific Ocean at the famous Zuma Beach.
Or, if you are more into shopping or catching a movie, do so in the Westlake Promenade area, or drive about 20 miles North to the Camarillo outlet stores to find some good deals. For the more affluent Home-exchangers, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive is only about 35 minutes by car. For budget travellers, a visit to the Getty museum is a must (it's free, pay only $10 for parking) as it hosts some of the world's most famous paintings and a fabolous view from the Hilltop.
Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Hollywood is about 40 minutes by car. So is Universal Studios, which has some great rides for young and old. Disneyland is about 1.5 hours drive in Anaheim, but well worth it! You can get discounted tickets at eBay - just ask me how.

A native of Sweden, most people battle to pronounce my name - Joakim (Yo-kim). My wife Mandy, a native of South Africa and our two precious sons, Christian (6 years old) and Lucas (2 years old).
