The neighbor, who owns an art gallery, can give you lots of neighborhood recommendations. The Neighborhood This is the Liberty Hill Historic District of San Francisco. It is the section of San Francisco blessed with a sunny micro-climate. We are 100 feet from the Valencia Street restaurants named by Unte Reader as the second "hippest" area in the US. The street is blessed with an array ranging from French, Chinese, Sushi, Vietnamese, Middle Eastern, Spanish Tapas, Belgian, to Mexican. There are expresso bars and bookstores, antique shops and "off Broadway" theater. There are yuppie bars and old-line Irish bars. Walk another block and you are on Mission Street, the heart of Latin American San Francisco. The are many fresh vegetable shops and Lucca's, the best Italian deli in town. It is about five blocks to the public library and chain store supermarket. Both freeways have entrances close by, and there are two BART subway stops in the neighborhood. It is 10 minutes by subway to downtown museums and department stores. A number of San Francisco buses serve the area. There is a city run parking garage on the next block. Other Information We are non-smokers but don't discriminate against either smokers or children. However please don't bring pets. San Francisco is the ideal starting point for trips to the wine country, skiing, gold country, etc. The Dates flexable The People We are authors and journalists writing magazine articles and books on real estate, computer technology and social issues. Some of the books are The Female Factor, a study of European Women by Shari, Mortgage Talk, and The How To Move Handbook by Shari and Clyde. The real estate books are on Amazon.
