Private home in quiet residential neighborhood within 15 minutes bus or drive to downtown Portland. House was built in 1927 and has a living room with fire place, dining room and remodeled kitchen. Front porch and back yard garden. Very friendly neighbors who can help out. Possibility of staying at a neighbors coast beach house for a few days mid week.

Exchange includes a Honda Civic car that gets 32 miles per gallon.

Portland is known for being one of the most livable cities in the U.S. with good restaurants, farmers markets, museums,beautiful parks, theater and Powells Book Store (largest new/used bookstore in the U.S.)

Near to the Cascade mountains, the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, and the Oregon Coast with beaches, and scenery.
