Our sunny 2-story home (20 minutes from San Francisco) is located in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants and cafes, grocery stores, two movie theaters, shops, and a weekly Saturday farmers' market. Hardwood floors and a tiled fireplace in living room. Large dining room and renovated kitchen with french doors opening onto backyard deck. The main bedroom has king-size bed. The 2nd bedroom has a twin bed. 3rd bedroom has a twin bed. Upstairs “sleeping porch” currently used as an office can be set up with an air mattress for additional guests. We enjoy year-round flowers in front and back gardens. Our backyard has a multi-level deck with a hot tub, and a patio with a vine-covered trellis. Fruit trees. Friendly neighbors. Lots of music CDs, books, games and videos/DVDs available for your enjoyment. (Just got a ping pong table!).

Oakland's proximity to San Francisco, the Wine Country, and coastal region makes it an ideal location for travelers. By BART (light rail trains), ferry, car, bike or bus - you've got the San Francisco Bay Area at your feet ---20 minutes to San Francisco, nearby bay or ocean beaches, day trips to Wine Country and Monterey. 3 1/2 hours to Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park
