Enjoy fabulous New York City without the headache, expense, and tourist-y crowds of a hotel! We have a spacious, pre-war apartment with very high ceilings. For sleeping there is one bedroom with a queen-size bed, a large study with a pull-out sofa that truly is comfortable (I use it sometimes when the hubby snores!). DVD player, digital/DVR cable in the living room, high-speed Internet access (wireless and/or ethernet connection), and color printer. No landline telephone. The kitchen is on the small side. Nice view from study and living room overlooking a quiet courtyard of Boriqua college. All rooms have ceiling fans and wall-unit air conditioners (except kitchen and bathroom). The heat works very well; we usually keep the windows open a bit in winter. It is located in Upper-Upper Manhattan (156th St and Riverside just off of Broadway). Step right outside and stroll along lovely Riverside Drive overlooking the Hudson River. The Number 1 train is located on 157th Street and Broadway. BX-6 bus (to Yankee stadium and other places) is right across Riverside Drive. Easy to get cabs and/or inexpensive car service. Building is safe with intercom system (no doorman). Grocery stores, Chinese and pizza delivery, fast food, and nice diner (158th and B'way) nearby.
We are looking to swap for a vacation only, somewhere warm and sunny. Not intersted in any long-term swap. We do not allow pets at all and smoking is strongly discouraged.
