Comfortable, quiet, modern cabin overlooking the Chiwawa River 20 minutes drive from the "Bavarian" town of Leavenworth. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 with queen size beds and one with 4 large bunkbeds plus a small pull out sleeper couch in the living room. There is a hot tub on the deck overlooking the river and deck chairs are out in the summer. Nearby you can find great hiking and Lake Wenatchee is only a 10 minute drive away and has a nice beach for kids and adults. The area is peaceful and the people are very friendly. There is a great diner 10 minutes away that has wonderful milkshakes. There is good wine tasting within 20-30 minutes drive. In winter there are several snow parks for cross-country skiing and local snow mobile rentals. Good downhill skiing is a 20-30 minute drive to Stevens Pass or an hour and 20 minutes to Mission Ridge. The location is very quiet, but on a well maintained road. The summer is very nice (May to October) and there is skiing and snow in winter (Dec-March). I have 2 bikes at the cabin for biking in the warmer seasons. It is only a two hour drive from Seattle.
