Our little piece of paradise is on the windward size of Oahu. We enjoy both mountain (complete with a waterfall after a good rain) and ocean views. We can walk to the beach. There are 2 queen bedrooms and one twin, plus 3 full baths. Our screened lanai overlooks our small, but private back yard, which has been lovingly planted with flowering and fragrant trees, bushes and plants. Upstairs we recently added our "treehouse" room with windows on three sides.
Kaaawa, though on the "quiet" side of Oahu is convenient to most attractions. We are only 30 minutes from the famous surfing beaches of the North Shore (Sunset Beach, Bonzai Pipeline, Waimea Bay). In fact, all along our coast you will find beach after beach after beach. Waikiki and Honolulu with nightlife, historical sites and Chinatown are each about a 40 minute drive. Pearl Harbor, which is a must see, is 40 minutes away, as well.
Oahu abounds with history, both World War II and of the Hawaiian monarchy and culture. The things to do are limitless.
