Johnson City has a population of around 65,000 with a major University, Med School, Pharmacy School, and VA medical center. The town is not a tourist destination, but we are ranked as a top ten small town to have a career by Forbes. We have been ranked as top ten by Runners world as best running city. some major magazine named it one of he best cities in America to live in- don't rmember which one...Johnson City is safe, progressive, and pleasant city located in the Southern Appalachians. Public tennis courts, walking trail, and public indoor pool at high school 1 block away.
