Contemporary home with all amenities. Located on one of Hawaii's out islands with great outdoor activities. Our elevations of sea level to 14,000 feet encompass most of the world's geographic zones - from desert and tropical rain forest to arctic tundra.

Hilo is a small town - no traffic jams, upscale shopping or gourmet restaurants. We do have good people, nice beaches choices of black, green or white sand), water activities with excellent snorkeling and diving available, hiking and biking, orchids growing in everyone's yards, and a gently erupting volcano that is easy to visit.

This is a place for a restful, interesting visit; it is not for those seeking bungee jumps into canyons or who enjoy dodging traffic on six lane boulevards. But if you want to sit on the beach and watch whales go by...

No smoking in the house, but OK on the patio. Public transportation is available, but limited. Our manual transmission car could be available as part of an exchange, depending on driving experience, age, insurance, etc.
