Gilroy is a small town near San Jose, San Franscio, Santa Cruz,Carmel, Monterey. All are within 1 hr or less driving distance. A train can be taken to San Franscio. The ocean is over the hill about a 25 min. drive. There are many wineries in the area. Hiking trails and fishing and horse back riding. Gilroy is known for its garlic and every July there is a festival. We are near the Bonfonti Garden with its beautiful grounds and amusement park for young and old. Gilroy is a nice place to come back to after a day of sight seeing and visitng the near by cities with shows, shopping, and food.
Gilroy has the largest clothes outlets in the area.
