One bedroom apartment located 1 mile north of the city of Chicago, in Evanston, Illinois. Evanston is a great walking town with many shopping and dining options. The apartment is a 30 min walk from Northwestern University which has a beautiful lake front campus. It is less than one mile from Lake Michigan where you will find running and biking paths, beaches with volleyball courts, swimming, tennis, sailing and large parks for picnics or sports. There are grocery stores close by and weekly farmers markets during the summer.
The Bedroom has a queen size bed, two dressers and a small table for writing. The Living room is large and open has a large sofa that will sleep one person very comfortably, glass coffee and end tables, bookshelves full of books, a TV, a DVD player, a Tivo DVR, a stereo that plays Cd's and mp3s, and guitars if you are interested in music. There is a small office area where you will have access to a printer. Wireless Internet is available throughout the apartment. The Kitchen is small but well stocked for in house cooking. It has an eat in dining area, stove, refrigerator, water purifier, coffee pot, toaster oven and all the cookware you should need. The bathroom has a combo shower and bathtub. There is a nice laundromat less than a block away and I can supply and air conditioner if needed. I have a cat who can be relocated to a friends house but the ideal situation would be if she could stay and be cared for.
The apartment is located two blocks from trains that go to downtown Chicago. The Chicago Metra train takes you directly downtown to the financial district and Opera house (20min). The Metra also goes north to Ravinia Park or to Wisconsin for a day trip. The elevated train (CTA) takes you to many locations in the city. The CTA has stops at Wrigley Field for Cubs Baseball, Michigan Avenue for shopping, The Chicago Art Museum and Museum of Natural History, Millennium Park and Grant Park, The Theater District, Soldier Field for Football or Soccer, and many other locations. You can purchase visitor passes for the CTA, $18 for 5-days of unlimited rides on trains and buses. You should not need a car in this location and I am happy to help you with your trip planning so you have all the information you need to get around in the Chicago area.
The apartment is a 25 min cab ride from O'hare Airport, it will cost about $40. You can also get here by train but it will take longer.
