We live in a lovely duplex in a very walkable historic town of Doylestown. It is 3 min. walk to SEPTA train station, where you can take a train to Philadelphia or bus (2 hr) to New York City. Doylestown is a historic town, where Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle (not really a castle, but rather a home of Mr. Mercer) is. This could be your peaceful base and you could explore Philadelphia, New York and many superb gardens of the area (Chanticleer, Longwood, Morris Arboretum, etc.)
