Our newly decorated lake cottage is located in a quiet, semi-secluded rural setting on beautiful Lake Louisa in Florida's citrus country. Lake Louisa is the last and largest on the Clermont Chain of Lakes, made up of 13 individual lakes linked together. We are situated in Lake County, just five miles west of the US Hwy 27 & US 50 intersection for rapid access to all major Florida attractions.
Our vacation rental is a cottage home, tastefully decorated, appropriatly, in a tropical theme. The interior was recently renovated so everything inside is still quite new. Bedrooms: The cottage has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a twin bed plus a trundle/day bed that pulls out to make 2 twin size beds. The other bedroom has a queen-sized bed. All necessary linens (sheets, towels, blankets), plus an iron and ironing board are in the unit. Florida Room: The sunken Florida Room (as we Floridians refer to "Family Rooms") is a spacious 25' x 16' and overlooks the lake. It has a color TV and Satellite service with several premium channels. Also available for your use is a DVD player and a VHS player. It is furnished with new, comfy, overstuffed sofa, love seat and oversized chair & ottoman, glass top coffee & end tables plus a set of brand new TV trays in a stand. There is an additional folding-top table in the room suitable for card/game playing or computer setup. High speed Internet service is ready to use via wireless relay. You'll find plenty of books, magazines, games and VHS / DVDs to browse through for entertainment on days when you choose to just kick back and relax. Kitchen: The kitchen is beautifully decorated with stunning, highest quality granite countertops, glass top range, microwave, dishwasher, deep double sink, frost free refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, toaster and all necessary cookware and dishes. Lake Louisa is the view from the sink window. You're sure to find it a convenient and accommodating place to prepare meals. Dining Room: The dining room is separated from the open kitchen on one wall and with sliding glass doors separating the sunken family room on another wall. It features a glass top dining table with 6 place settings. Extra chairs are available if needed. Enjoy a romantic dinner. The overhead chandelier lighting is on a dimmer switch. Throughout the kitchen and dining room is soft mood track lighting, also on dimmer switches. The east facing wall has a round porthole window overlooking Lake Louisa. Overall: The entire cottage is charmingly wrapped in the nostalgic glow of authentic rustic knotty pine on wall and ceiling. This is not the cheaper imitation so common today. Off the kitchen entrance door is a carport. And, of course, the cottage has central air conditioning/heatingto keep you comfortable year round. If you decide to stay in the area, you can walk, boat or fish on Lake Louisa or just relax in the quiet Florida sunshine and enjoy some of the fresh oranges, tangerines and grapefruits on the property. The overall size of the cottage is that of a large, two-bedroom apartment. What Can You Do There?: You will enjoy being situated in the heart of Florida's attraction area. Only a few miles away you will find Disney World, home of the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Epcot. The fabulous MGM Studios with the Hard Rock Cafe and Universal Theme Park are both a short, 20-minute drive. At about the same drive time, you will find Gatorland, Sea World, and Silver Springs, each with magnificent aquatic spectacles. You can take a day trip to the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral - 50 miles to the east or toTampa, Busch Gardens, Saint Petersburg and the Gulf of Mexico - 50 miles to the west. |
