A ~1400 square foot (~130 square meter) fully-updated loft apartment in the former Daily News printing plant in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, immediately adjacent to the Fort Greene and Park Slope neighborhoods. Within 5 minutes walking distance are several subway lines (downtown Manhattan is an 8-10 minute ride, midtown a 20-25-minute ride), many restaurants, shops, the Long Island Railroad, and several small parks. Within 20 minutes walk are the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Academy of Music (both major attractions), two of Brooklyn's "Restaurant Rows" (5th Avenue and Smith Street) and much more.

The apartment is spacious and has high ceilings (12-14 feet). There are two bedrooms (one king and one queen sized bed), two full bathrooms (one en suite), an open-plan kitchen/living room, and ample closet space. There is also a ~6x20 foot (2x6 meter) outdoor space overlooking the building's landscaped entrance yard. This is an elevator building with a 24-hour doorman.

Language of communication: English. We can give German, Spanish or Russian a try, but the odds of our making sense decrease.

Particularly interested in 2-day to 2-week exchanges in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Adirondacks (the hoped-for length of stay increases with distance from New York). Interested in anywhere in the US, Canada, Thailand, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, or pretty much anywhere, any time.
