Very nice roomy new, airy clean ranch house on small horse ranch at southern edge of Austin, only 15 min. to town. Fun safe location. Owner is writer, likes to travel and write. Ranch is on a big Texas creek.
Onion Creek Ranch is adjacent to the 700 acre Onion Creek Park, which we use for trail riding, fun and conditioning our horses. It is an older ranch (my family's, owned 45 yrs) with a red barn, pasture frontage on Onion Creek, big pecan trees, etc. What we are not is a fancy new show barn that does jumping or dressage. Several boarders ride endurance, others are trail riders. The boarding facility is a casual, enjoyable place with nice people who care about horses. What we are not is a fancy new show barn that does jumping or dressage. We encourage our boarders to be knowledgeable horse people and to have fun with their horses.

Onion Creek Ranch is meant to be a welcome, comfortable natural environment for everyone to enjoy. It is what you might call a Natural Whole Horsemanship Learning and Riding Ranch. This means we let horses be horses, and do things as naturally and knowledgeably as possible when it comes to the training and teaching of horses and humans.
