We have comfortable and large modern family house with pretty garden in small town called Ivybridge on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. There are lots of beautiful countryside walks and riverside walks accessible from the house and it is only 10 mins drive to a variety of safe sandy beaches including Bigbury Bay with the famous Burgh Island hotel. Many of the beaches also offer excellent surf and safe bathing. Surf schools offer courses throughout the year. Horse-riding in Dartmoor National Park is available from a stables in nearby village (5 mins away). It is a 10 mins drive to lots of activities including watersports centre (sailing, diving, water ski-ing, windsurfing, kayaking), golf club, dry ski slope, multiplex cinema, modern shopping centre, health club, country club, and 20 mins from the ferry terminal that leaves for France or Spain if you would like to explore further afield.
Our town Ivybrdige is close to Totnes and Plymouth. We are on the edge of Dartmoor National Park that is one of the most unspoilt areas in the UK. The house location has the best of both worlds being near countryside but having local shops convenience. There is a friendly and neighbourly local community, come and see the real England! The countryside of Devon and Cornwall is easy to explore from this location and it is a 3 hour drive to London.
There is lots to do in this area including visiting the Eden Project that is about 1 hour drive away, relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Devon and Cornwall. Lots of watersports activities are possible including surfing, sailing, kayaking and fishing (sea, river and lake).
The Tate Gallery has a fantastic Gallery in St Ives, Cornwall and London is only a 3 hour drive, or Bristol 1.5 hours if you would like a few days in the city.
Plymouth and Exeter are the local cities and have a wide variety of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. We will leave a folder of info for you.
Getting here is easy as there is a train station in Ivybridge that links to the National Rail network. Otherwise there is an airport in Plymouth that has daily flights to London and other major cities in the UK. There are also good coach and bus services from Plymouth to London that connect with International Flights.
