The house was built in 1920, is very spacious and it has an enourmous living room (can be used as bedroom if necessary) with a fireplace. Also has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a good kitchen, a dining room and three balconys with good views of the Montsec mountain and the paragliders. Summer is the best season to stay in our home because the heating has a firewood boiler. To fill and to light the boiler frequently in the cellar is a little tiring.
Our house is placed in Catalonia. In particular in Ąger, a small village (300 people) in the middle of the sunny and peaceful Vall d'Ąger (Ąger's valley). This area is a gate to the southern Pyrinees side, and has been very touristic since de 1970's. Because the excepcional Montsec -the valley's mountain- Ąger its an important european point to the paragliding and hang gliding practice. Other than that you can do a lot of interesting hiking in this mediterranean mountain: on foot, by quad, by mountaibike or by horseback. The valley is located between two big reservoirs, that provides you the possiblity to do boating, kayaking or fishing. Apart from that Ąger has an important new attraction: the COU (Universe Observation Center) the best place in southern Europe to observe the sky with telescope, encompassed inside the PAM : Astronomic Montsec (research) Park. The village has an important historical heritage. There are examples of roman, romanic and gotich art, the best piece is the ancient St. Pere abbey. Among the Montsec rage, among the forests, the almonds fields, some people do geological studies and tourism.
