WE DO NOT TRAVEL IN LARGE GROUPS USUALY, WE TRAVEL PARTIES OF 2 OR 4, IF WE ARE TRAVELING LARGE PARTY SOME TIME, WE STAY IN DIFERENTS HOMES IN THE SAME CITIES, DEPENDING ON THE POSSIBILITIES OF EVERY HOME EXCHANGE, THEN WE CAN MAKE 2 OR 3 EXCHANGES IN THE SAME TIME IN THE CITY THAT WE´LL GO. COMPLETELY RENOVATED APARTAMENT: Loft zone with sleep area, doble bed and desk, dining area, doble sofa bed, kitchen with small electric cook, horno-microwave, fridge and snik, also washer machine and toilet, separate small suite with toilet, there are high doble bed, under the bed there are doble sofa. PRIVATE PARKING: with access key, in street walking in 2 minutes.

FLAT IN MUSEUMS AREA AND ATOCHA TRAIN STATION WITH CENTRAL METRO LINES IN FEW MINUTES TO OLD CENTER: Museums to 1 km, walking in 10 minutes: Atocha train Station to 500 metros, walking in 5 minutes (go right to Rafael de Riego street, take to the right til Mendez Alvaro street and croos to Atcha Station): metro line Palos de la Frontera to 350 metros walking in 4 minutes with direct line to old center, 3 stops in 5 minutes (go right in Canarias street til Delicias street, go right til Palos de la Frontera street and the metro is on the left). The apartment is on a quiet street but 2 minutes from Paseo de Las Delicias there is everything and a little above the Carlos V Square that gives the Atocha Station and the area of Museums. There is a fresh food market 5 minutes walk from the Metro below Palos de la Frontera in the street of the same name and in the corner next to the apartment there is a fruit shop and small shops in the surrounding streets. And a 5 minute walk to back door of Atocha Train and metro Station is that within shops and small restaurants and outside there are hotels and restaurants nearby, as Arroceria Puerta de Atocha street Tortosa 10, Paellas tipical spanish made to carry too and there you can eat besides more Spanish food dishes. And a 9-minute subway is Sol you already know about everything. PLACES TO VISIT IN MADRID: - The historical centre: El Rastro is a huge street market that is set every Sunday morning. Cava Baja is the place to go if you want to have "Tapas" for lunch after visiting El Rastro, the way we all of us do. The Royal Palace and the Plaza Mayor are within walking distance and all a ‘must’ if you come to Madrid. Go day or night to eat cheap menu or tapas tipical spainsh food very good in the Restaurant "El Patio Andaluz" in street Maldonadas 5, this is the street where Carlos and me have our penthouse and enjoy this restaurant so much, close to metro La Latina to come and after walking in 2 minutes to Mayor Square, closed some days in the mid-week. Go to lunch one day the tipìcal Cocido Madrileño to "La Bola Restaurant" in La Bola street. Go to the older Guiness Restaurant " Casa Botin" to eat the famous Cochinillo, a few expensive but all the people go in street Cuchilleros 17 close to Mayor Square. Dinner tipical spanish food like the tipical Tortilla de Patatas, late in friday to "Meson de la Guitarra" in Cava de San Milguel street, close Mayor Square and you can hear "La Tuna", traditional spanish music and close there are other similar Mesones close like the famous Las Cuevas de Luis Candelas with waiters dressed in ancient costumes Spanish bandits. Also up on this street is the beatiful and famous "Mercado de San Miguel" with tipical Tapas and all the people there. Close to Cava Baja zone of Tapas to go to lunch tapas in Sunday after Rastro street market also there are some restaurantes to luch or dinner like the famous and expensive Restaurant Casa Lucio with famous people always and the good resturants Meson de la Villa with tipical spanih food. Close to Royal Palace in the Oriente Square is the terraze Cafe Oriente very nice to lunch or dinner in summer. Never eat into Mayor Square, the restauratns are not good and expensive, but it is nice to take a coffee, beverage, ice creams... enjoy the veiws, it ´s a beautiful place to relax in the terrazes. The famous Restaurant Lhardy in st Carrera de San Jeronimo 8 it is expensive but worth it transports you to the traditional past. Finally you must dine in a Tablao there Flamenco show and typical food, there are some but the more famous is Cafe de Chinitas in st Torijas 7, online reservations. Puerta del Sol Square is close, It is a nice area for shopping too but, pls, BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETS – they are experts in tourists!(also in others places like public transports). - Museums: El Prado, Reina Sofia, and Thyssen, are all within walking distance. Other are - Museum of America, Natural Science,... - Tourist bus, day and night (nice in Xmas): Cibeles, Puerta de Alcalá, El Retiro Park, Descalzas Reales Convent, Liria Palace, Debod Temple, Las Ventas Bullring, Bernabeu Stadium,... - Attractions: Xanado – a shopping centre with an indoor ski slope, Attraction Park, Zoo, Aquarium, Warner Park (metro line direct in 7 minutes to tren to the park), .. - URBAN BEACH: freshening but not for bathingin, In Arganzuela Park into Madrid Rio zone with places for sports also. AROUND MADRID: If you like to sky, you can go to Navacerrada, only 50 KM away from Madrid. And if you want to visit other cities, the following are within 40 km and 200 km: - DAY-TRIP: Segovia, early in the moorning, to visit the Aqueduct, the Alcazar and the historical centre and be sure to have lunch in the very well-known restaurant "Casa Candido", where the best offer is suckling pork. The Palace of La Granja is on the way from Madrid if you have time to visit before. After go to El Escorial, with a huge Palace and a very nice stone village. From there you can have a quick look at Avila in the afternoon,, if only to enjoy the magnificent wall around the medieval city, wonderfulat night also. The best will be go in car if you want to visit all the places, if you´ll go only one there are bus and train. - DAY-TRIP: Aranjuez, early in the morning, with three splendid Palaces, and a very charming park. On your way back to Madrid, you can also stop at the medieval village of Chinchón and lunch in the Mayor Square. Cuenca is also a nice city and you wpuld go after, where you can see the famous "Casas Colgantes" - one is even a restaurant . You can also visit the "Ciudad Encantada" before and the Stone Monastery. The city of Alcala de Henares is also interesting on your way back to Madrid and dinin in tipical famous mesones for universitary students.The best will be go in car and visit all. - DAY-TRIP: Toledo, a ‘must’ and so close! Don’t forget to wait til night time to enjoy the overwhelming view from the Parador of Toledo under the lights. The best will be go in train, only 20 minutes from Atocha Station, near our flat, also there are a lot of bus in Mendez Alvaro Station Sur. You would sleep in the old city and go to others cities in the sud of Spain from here. If you will go with car,go y¡to parking in Transito neigborhood, close to Greco´home, you can make a tour around the city and came back easy - DAY-TRIP: Salamanca, with so many monuments to visit that you might like to stay overnight and from here you will go to other cities in Spain. - FAMOUS SANTIAGO ROAD: Look to know more http://authentic-journeys.com

BIG FAMILY: I am Carmen, I make all contacts for the exchanges but not able to go some time that I want go, my husband is Carlos, airline pilot, both are 51 years old and live in an penthouse very close to the house we exchange in downtown Madrid. I´m divorced, has a 30 years old daughter, Veronica married with Justin 32 year old from USA and living in New York and they exchange and make hospitality their flat in Brooklyn when it´s possible but it is very dificult for their and prefer simultaneous exchanges with USA. Pilar 50, Chef Bank and Carlos 52 Tecnichal Electronic, with their childs Pilacita 22 and Carlitos 16; Lupe 48, English Translator, and her Dutch boyfriend Maarten 49, publisher and some times Lupe dougthers, Clara 20 and Bea 18; Jaime, Architect 45, his wife Yolanda 40 and Carlota 7. Our family take part in some exchanges depending on the possibilities offered by the house in each exchange and the dates in which each one can travel. Also a member of them can also go to the exchange without.
