The broad meadows that dominate this mountain environment have encouraged the breeding of the Iberian pig. You should not leave without tasting its delicious sausages and, of course, their ham Huelva Designation of Origin. In the Museo del Jamón de Aracena can learn more about the tradition of the area chacinera.

The scenery changes depending on the altitude and humidity. Populated rangeland oaks are replaced by oaks in some areas, while in the higher elevations are frequent Rebollo oak forests, whereas in other populations the landscape consists of chestnut, and in channels of rivers such as the forests Múrtigas galleries filled with large trees such as poplars, ash, willow and alder, along with bushes and climbing plants.
