e are a family of six, whereby our oldest three, celebrating in 2010, 25, 22 and 20 years, live, respectively, in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Vienna. Remaining in our family residence are Natalie, 14, Christa, 50 and myself, also 50. We moved to our lovely home 12 years ago from our other lovely home on the outskirts of Vienna. We decided that we wanted to spend our lives where there are palm trees all year round, thus the Garden Route of South Africa with its temperate Mediterranean climate. George, being the largest city on the Garden Route, catered perfectly to our needs at the time. This area offers walking, hiking, cycling, road and mountain, paragliding, skydiving, diving, whale watching, shark cage diving, boating, sailing, gyms and and and. I forgot to mention that George is the golf capital of SA, with six 18 hole courses, among them Fancourt, Kingswood, Oubaai and George, within a few kms, and three short courses. Because of our beautiful climate, and the fact that people spend their holidays, December and January in SA, here, means that an infrastructure of leisure, entertainment and adventure is of the essence for the visitors. For those of us living here it is a pleasant bonus in paradise. Just because we live in paradise does not mean that we do not want to travel and experience other earthly paradises, thus our effort to contact like-minded souls.
