We have a large wooden home, with 280 sqm living space, 4 bedrooms downstairs and the master bedroom upstairs. There are two bathrooms (one with shower upstairs, one with bath downstairs). A long double lounge upstairs leads into kitchen and dining room. One lounge area has a wide screen TV with cable channels, the other has an exclosed wood burner and an area set aside for the family PC. Along the 1st floor side of the house is an enclosed glass corridor which provides excellent views across Karori suburb. The home is very well positioned for the sun and enjoys panoramic views from most windows. There is also a patio area and BBQ plus a large multi-level deck which sits at tree canopy level providing great views.

Here's a room by room summary of the upstairs;
Hallway with electronic keyboard leads to kitchen, utility, bathroom, master bedroom and lounge areas.
Large lounge with 2 x 3 person blue sofa suite, wide screen TV. 2 x bookcases, one with Encyclopedia Britannica and adult fiction/biographies the other with children's books (mostly for teenage girls). Extensive DVD collection (about 120). Nintendo Wii with around 10 games. Large square coffee table.
Smaller lounge with 2 person lounge suite, wood burning fire with glass door. Family PC area with desk, PC, sound system, printer, IBM PC with LCD screen, wireless connection.
Kitchen has electric cooker/hob, walk in pantry, kettle, toaster, juicer/blender, Fisher & Paykel Fridge (top NZ brand), smeg dishwasher, usual overhead and under worktop cupboards and drawers, new 8 piece cutlery set. Various jars, scales and spice racks.
Dining room: 6 seat dinning tables and chairs, bookshelf, mini hifi, extensive CD collection. Doors lead into long corridor that runs down the side of the house which is glass enclosed and provides great panoramic views.
Bathroom has toilet, shower, sink unit and heated rails plus fan heater and vents.
Master bedroom has walk in wardrobe, king sized bed, chest of drawers, bedside table & lamp, clock, laundry basket.
Utility has 8KG Fisher and Paykel top load washing machine, 8KG Fisher and Paykel top load dryer.

And downstairs;
Bathroom has toilet, bath and washbasin unit. Fan heater and towel heater, air vents.
Main bedroom with queen sized bed, dressing table, desk & chair, various shelves.

We have a fully serviced 4WD 7 seater Mitsubishi Pajero (called a Shogun in the UK) which is available as part of the exchange. There are bikes that can be used, they are not too modern but work well otherwise several local bike hire shops will hire better fitted mountain bikes.
