The house is brand new, it was ready in 2008, and we've been living in it since. It has all the comfort you can expect from newly built houses: 2 bathrooms, floor heating, double glass, fully equipped kitchen etcetera.

It is 15 mins by tram from Central Station and from there you'll be in the museums, beaches, shops, tulip fields, other cities in no time.

Our house is in a brand new neighborhood in Amsterdam called IJburg. It consists of a number of artificial islands which are beautifully situated on the bank of the big lake that lies in the middle of the Netherlands. You can reach the center of Amsterdam with the regular streetcar service, which takes 15 minutes.

20% of the inhabitants of this neighborhood is between 0 and 4 years. So it is very child friendly.
