We live in a attached flat with two apatments above and and townhouses on either side. We own the ground floor apartment, so we have a garden area. The garden house serves has our third bedroom. Tram to city center within 30 minutes or bike to heart of Amsterdam within half a hour. We live in a very good section of the city called Old South. Air conditioning in the garden house only.
