We are looking to swap or rent the rear half of our bright and welcoming semi-detached home in the town centre of Clonakilty in beautiful West Cork.

Our house is a 3 min walk to town which has everything you'll need from banks to pharmacy and even a cobbler. Our house has a sunny lovely garden to the front and rear with views over the church and town. There is on street parking on our quiet cul-de-sac. Accommodation is in the rear of the home, a 1 bedroom 40 sqm flat with separate entrance, bathroom and living room and kitchen. The flat can sleep 2 in the master double bedroom and an additional 2 on trundle beds which can be made up in the large living room.

Clonakilty is a vibrant town full of restaurants and nightlift, 45 min drive south of Cork City & Cork Airport with many beaches within 5-10km and live music every night of the week.

We heat our house using a central Rayburn solid fuel stove which provides hot water & radiators in all the bedrooms, if you come here in the colder months it is important you are comfortable with wood heating. (We are happy to give you a demo or talk you through instructions)

We have chickens out the back so if we are house-swapping we would be delighted if you wanted to take care of them, if not we can get a neighbour to look after them, but please only bring pets if you can keep an eye on them if they are in the garden!

We are an international couple who have been living in Clonakilty for 4 years, we bought this house in Deb 2011 and have been working hard to make it our home. We grow a lot of fruit and vegetables on the property as well as keep chickens and hope to have bees within a year. We live simply and are very reliable, and would be happy to look after pets. We will treat your house with great respect.
