Bautzen is a over 1000 years old town, in middle of saxony the beautiful Oberlausitz.
Nature Reserve, Lakes, Rivers, large Forests, quiet and save.

1 hour to the famouse historical baroque castle "Zwinger" of main-city Dresden, the green Vault (Grünes Gewölbe) enjoys world renown as one of Europe’s most sumptuous treasure chambers,
the famous Painting Galleries like the Old Masters including the Sistin Madonna from splendid italian artist Raffael ore the Chocolate Maid and many other Museums. There are also good possibilities for climbing in the Saxonian Switzerland, for trips with the paddle wheel steamers at the river Elbe for exemple a short trip to the rococo castel of the mistresses of king August the Strong. Also you can find the hunting castles like Moritzburg from the old king dynasties.
1 hour to Meissen, the famous porcelain manufactory, where invented the first white porcelain.
2 Hours to Berlin
2 Hours km to Prague

We are open to all offers. Monika is retired, Joe not yet, we love traveling, we like to get to know different cultures and people, and we like fish and wine and chocolate. We are living in a little paradise and want to find the same in other countries for holidays.

We are in the middle of the biggest pond region (more then 1000 ponds) of Germany.
Here you can find kingfishers, foxes, wolves, elks, wild pigs, many frogs etc. There are no dangerous animals like crocodiles and snakes. The fish eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) with his wing spread till 2,50m is the biggest bird of prey in Europe.
You will find here many historical small castles, manor-houses and small parks.
This region is a ideal holiday- and recrationsplace for nature lovers,
touring cyclists, for those seeking quiet. Many hiking- and cycle tracks goes arround the most flat land.
Beautiful, contemporary, countrystyled home with natural clearwater swimming pond.
There is a outside pavilion in italian style for BBQs include Kitchen and a nice place for campfire at "Chicken Island" (Half Island) surrounded from a little river and 25m high old trees also for BBQs. You can relaxing to have a outside Sauna like a russian Bania with a roof of grass and log-fire.

The house is light with an open-plan design incorporating a granite/stainless steel kitchen, living area, indoor/outdoor dining areas plus a terrace overlooking the pool and lake. There are 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms with spa bath, a double garage, bikes, electric-quad.
