Hometown of painter Cézanne and writer Zola, Aix-en-Provence has a beautiful historical center with italian-style architecture. The town has beautiful churches, fountains and squares. Colourful Provence markets (fruits & vegetables, flowers, antiques, clothes, local products) are held every morning. All around Aix, you can enjoy the landscapes depicted by Cézanne ( Ste Victoire mountain, Lubéron, etc...).
The city is quite lively in July because of the world famous international open-air opera festival ( www.festival-aix.com). There are also summer exhibitions in the town museums.
You can reach the city of Marseilles (the sea, the calanques...) very easily in bus (ride takes 25 mn & buses run every 10mn). For more activities in marseilles check: www.marseille-tourisme.com.

I will be in Copenhaguen from 19th to 26th of July. The flat I'm making the exchange belongs to my mother (mine is too small for an exchange). She is lending it to me for the exchange. It will be available from the 16th till the 31st of July.
