Exchange Zones

The apartment is located in the central part of Copenhagen (Denmark) in the area, called Vesterbro.
The apartment is 10 minutes walk to the downtown, where you can find shopping street (Strøget), museums, Botanic garden, amusement area (Tivoli), town hall and a lot of the other things.
Copenhagen is situated close to the sea and has a population (including suburbs) of about 1,2 mio.
It is easy to get to the neighbor countries. It takes 30 minutes by train to reach the southern part of Sweden, Malmø (connected by tunnel and bridge). It is easy and not expensive to take a ferry to Oslo (the capital of Norway), it takes just one night to sail on the comfortable ferry. You can also take to Berlin that is 8hours by bus.
There are a lot of diverse outdoors events in the City like different festivals, concerts and other events. For example, you can enjoy Jazz festival in July, where you can hear live jazz all around.
Vesterbro is a lively area and is also a multiethnic with a lot of immigrant shops. The Copenhagen area is generally a relatively safe, where you can securely walking around at night. The place near the central railway station is not advised to visit at night.
Copenhagen is a bicycle town and the easiest way to get around is by bicycling. It takes 7min by bike from our apartment to the harbor where recently it is made possible for swimming and sunbathing. The water in the harbor is of approved quality for swimming, though it can be closed after strong raining for a day or two. There are different beaches (though further away) if you are more for sand, grass and view. Amager beach is a good equipped place for different tastes and there are of course the other places.
It’s a good area for running you can either go to the lakes which Is 5 minutes in walking distance or to the parks Frederiskberg Have (which was the royal summer residence of some king but now made to a public park) which is twenty minutes walk. If you prefer picnic in the parks, there 2 different parks, located close by.
Our apartment is on the fifth floor and the seize is about 130 m2. It has 3 rooms and kitchen, bathroom, and a balcony. The kitchen and bathroom has recently been renovated and include washing machine, dish washer, fridge, oven and cooking plates. Two of the rooms have a double and one and a half sized beds. There is no TV-set as we don’t use it any more. There is a fireplace but it is not functioning as it has been disconnected to the chimney. There is an easy access to food, beverage and daily necessities from supermarkets ( 4 minutes in walking distance. ) There are specialty shops, immigrant shops or different kinds of ethnic restaurants (French, Thai, Vietnam, Arabic, etc). Shopping areas (cloths, whatever) can be found in the central part of town with a walking distance of 15-20 minutes. If you don’t biking, it is easy to get around with a bus or metro.
Our neighbors are mainly native Danes (with exception of a Spanish speaking family) with or without children. There is usually not much noise either from the street or the neighbors.
