Our home is a Colonial style brick home with large covered patio and verandah. Indoor and outdoor living space is approx. 3000 square feet (280 square metres) to take advantage of the beautiful weather and great views overlooking neighbouring lake, which is fully fenced for safety. We live on 2 acres, some of it gardens and playground equipment and trampoline, fire pit and the rest lawn. Rooms inside include 3 bedrooms, separate study/office, formal living room, kitchen, dining room and TV/family room, laundry, bathroom with tub and shower and en-suite bathroom & walk in robe in master bedroom.
Two bedrooms are children's rooms with king single and toddler bed/cot in the other (at present, can change if required) and third bedroom is the master and has a king ensemble. The living room has a queen hide-a-bed so our house can easily accommodate 6 people. We have 2 dogs that will be going on vacation to the grandparents and we have fish tanks that will require no maintenance other than to feed the fish occasionally. We will also arrange for the lawn to be mown during your stay.
We live in a semi-rural community about 10 minutes drive west of the larger Township of Caboolture, which is half way between the City of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. There is a strong community spirit in Wamuran and our proximity to major attractions such as Australia Zoo, great Australian beaches and even better boating and camping areas makes it the ideal place to live and visit. We can provide more details of daily activities to those who inquire about staying as they are too numerous to mention.
May to September is the ideal time to visit Canada and an ideal time to exchange to our home, even though it is our winter. Winter here is beautiful, with temperatures dropping at night to about 12 degrees celsius and about 24 celsius during the day, with little to no rain. To a former Canadian that is near on summer conditions!
