OUR home in Queens Park, adjoining Bondi Junction in Sydney's eastern waterside suburbs, is 1-2kms from Bondi Beach and other ocean and harbour beaches, 3kms/13minutes/4 metro stops from central Sydney, a 20 minute bus or ferry ride to Circular Quay, the Bridge and Opera House It is in easy walking distance of stunning Centennial Park as well as close to major shopping complex. .
THE HOUSE in Bourke Street is detached, on two-levels, with three bedrooms. On the front street level is a small walled garden with frangipani tree. The hallway leads to two bedrooms and a lounge (see photo with clock) with shutters, itself leading into a separate dining room with a Juliet balcony, and a galley kitchen of recycled timber, and a bathroom with bathtub and shower. Through half-doors from kitchen you reach a deck with sun awning (see photo deck up among the subtropical trees looking down on the small back garden (see photo). In sunny weather there is a retractable awning. Breakfast here is a delight.
From the dining room you descend to the bottom level (the house is built on a slope), which has a large lounge/TV (84cm LCD )room with French doors across its entire width, opening on to a tiled patio and a small garden planted with a lemon tree and lots of subtropical plants in beds and hanging baskets. It is ideal for outside dining weather. permitting. Also downstairs is a second bathroom/laundry and hallway leading into a third double bedroom. Because of stairs and balcony, it is not suitable for toddlers..
