VISIT THE EAST COAST OF AUSTRALIA
HOUSE DETAILS: Our home backs onto a greenbelt full of palm trees and is just 1 km from the Sunshine Coast where there are miles of beaches, walking paths and picnic areas. We live in a quiet residential neighborhood in a modern open plan home. We have 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen & dining area, study with high speed internet and a large outdoor entertaining area complete with a gas BBQ. Our home is surrounded with beautiful low maintenance gardens full of palm trees and Australian plants complete with an electronic watering system. CLIMATE: The weather on the Sunshine Coast is wonderful! Our winter is mild with daytime temperatures not normally falling below 20 degrees celsius. In Summer, temperatures are rarely over 30 degrees celsius. IN THE LOCAL AREA: If shopping is your thing, the Sunshine Plaza Shopping Centre is a 5 minute drive away. (largest shopping centre on the Sunshine Coast) There are golf courses (nearest a 5 minute drive), walking paths, biking, fishing, swimming, boating and other leisure opportunities. The area has an excellent bus service to the nearby communities of Noosa, Maroochydore and Caloundra - all hosting great beaches and word class restaurants. There are several tourist attractions in the local area including the Australia Zoo (Steve Irwin), Underwater World, The Buderim Ginger Factory, Aussie World and The Ettamogah Pub. For more info see: www.buderimvillage.com.au NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: Just a 2 hour drive away is the Gold Coast with HUGE shopping centres and theme parks Dreamworld, Movieworld & Seaworld. A domestic airport is situated 15 minutes away making it easy to take trips to Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. (Virgin Air & Qantas) PERIOD OF AVAILABILITY: Flexible OPTION #1: CALGARY (anytime June-September) OPTION #2: CHINA, JAPAN, EUROPE (open to options) We would consider a non-concurrent exchange. You may want to come to Australia in your winter and we would want to visit the northern hemisphere in the summer. That is OK with us. Maybe you'd like to visit Australia in February or March when the weather is very warm here and possibly cold in your country?? |
