Mountain Quest is a 450 acre mountain inn, conference center and retreat site that provides guests with unique upscale accommodations amid a serene country setting, nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia.
The Inn at Mountain Quest offers an experience, not just a room. Outside there are creeks, runs, springs and ponds; 150 acres of rich grassland in the valley hosting wildlife and domestic farm stock; 300 acres of rolling hills and woodlands rising 600 feet above the farm; a labyrinth for meditation; and Llamas, horses and long-horn cattle punctuating the landscape. Inside, the common rooms include a lavish two-story, 14,000-volume research library trimmed in cherry; a flexible conference/banquet room complete with wood trim and wainscoting; a billiard and game room for relaxation; a small exercise facility complete with Jacuzzi and sauna; porches and decks stretching around the facility; and a four-story glass-roofed tower that offers visitors a 360 degree view of “almost heaven”. Even the rooms epitomize comfort and character, individually designed and decorated to offer an inimitable sanctuary for travelers. In a class of its own, the Inn at Mountain Quest provides a refreshingly different experience. Each “Questroom” has its own distinctive décor, ranging from the nautical cove where guests relax on waterbeds tied up to a painted dock, to the Safari Hut, where guests view the gold’s and oranges of an African sunset beneath woven bamboo and mosquito netting.
