The weather is cooler than other parts of Spain, but it has an age-old magical atmosphere, which travellers can share in. Explore the many historic sites like; Celtic Hill-forts, Cathedrals, small Churches & Castles (the later three types of monuments can date as far back as the 9th century). The Wines of the Ribeira Sacra deserve a special mention. Numerous wine cellars dedicated to the production of first class, quality wines are located along the riverbanks.
