Overlooking Halfmoon Bay, Sails Ashore provides luxury, boutique hosted accommodation for guests wishing to experience the magic of Stewart Island. Sails Ashore is Qualmark 4 Star Plus. Our guest wing was purpose built, and features the very best of native timbers, complimented by a muted décore highlighting original works of art, stained glass windows and custom designed furniture. Linen is the finest available. Little touches of luxury such as heated ensuite floors, home baking and selections of fine teas and coffees make your stay with us an experience to remember.

As part of our package guests also experience the magic of Ulva Island open sanctuary, drawing on hosts Iris and peters over 60 years combined Stewart Island life. Peter was one time Forest Ranger in Charge of Stewart Island and Iris a foundation trustee of Ulva Island. Party size is never more than 6 per guide and as we have our own large charter yacht tours can be run to suit weather conditions on the day as well as guests requirements.
