Your hosts Jeanne and Carl are genuine born & bred New Zealand Kiwis, whose great grandparents settled in the South Island. Having travelled extensively throughout New Zealand and internationally, they enjoy meeting people from different cultures and both look forward to welcoming you to their home, sharing in their local knowledge and passion for their amazing country.
Jeanne has a background in finance as a banking executive, an invaluable asset in the daily running of McCormick House.
She is very passionate about her garden and catering to the whims of their two cats Ashlee and Cuddles.
Carl, a designer and maker of fine furniture, loves restoring early New Zealand colonial furniture and old wooden clinker boats. He enjoys creating smaller pieces in his workshop from locally sourced recycled native timbers, which can be purchased by guests.
