Nestled at the foot of the Great Dividing Range in one of only two locations where the mountains extend right down to the sea, Coffs Harbour is found on the beautiful north coast of New South Wales, 550kms north of Sydney and some 400kms south of Brisbane. Too far north for cold winters and too far south for a rainy season, it enjoys Australia's most temperate climate. Long sandy beaches, and the beautiful Solitary Island Marine Park where migrating whales are regularly spotted, complete an idyllic destination.
The peaceful and pristine setting on an estuary of the Solitary Islands Marine Park and with a National Park as a neighbour, the WATERSIDE is ideal for bushwalking, bird watching, swimming, boating, fishing or simply relaxing. Yet the center of the bustling resort town of Coffs Harbour is only some 15 minutes away. Rooms With only four individually crafted and luxuriously appointed rooms, The Waterside is ideal for adult couples wishing to leave stress as far behind as possible. The rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and air-conditioning/heating, TV/Video and AM/FM with CD stereo, fresh coffee making facilities, bar fridge, direct-dial telephone, beach/pool towels, bath robes, hair dryers, scales, toiletries, bath salts as well as stationery. The Chalet Room Recalling the country of Christof's birth, this room comes complete with original Swiss artworks, wood panelled ceiling and floors, carved furnishings, lace and gingham curtains andnaturally a cowbell. As a further focal point, there is a mannequin in a sentry box at the entrance to this room, fully clothed in his father’s Swiss Army uniform. The Good Life Room Created by local wood craftsman and learned shipwright, George Oxenbridge, this room combines luxury and comfort with earthy tones and natural woodgrains, right down to the cork floor and lime washed walls. Solid rainforest timber rescued from clearings was used extensively, making this a truly precious room. Stefan's Room Stefan Bruggisser, an artist of world repute was the creator of this room and was given license to combine the concept of luxury in harmony with nature. The use of light pastels, natural wood tones and ergonomic designs have created a balance that is both modern and lavishly comfortable. The Mahogany Room This classic room focuses on period style mahogany furniture with soft tones and elegance. The room features a high ceiling with exposed mahogany rafters. The theme is used throughout the entire room with a period vanity in the bathroom and even a mahogany toilet seat. All paintings are by Christof's grandfather, painted in the very early years of the century. |
