Looking for the area of Rimouski - Québec - August 9 to 23 - 2014

This charming little house (950 square feet) is located on Saturna Island, one of the Gulf Islands located between Vancouver and Victoria. It is accessible by BC ferry, from Tsawassen - which is located close to Vancouver. (I can provide accommodation in Vancouver on your way to Saturna - see listing # 1257316484621)

Saturna Island is a small community. There is one general store, one restaurant, one vineyard and one pub (the essentials…) – but no supermarkets, drugstores or hospitals. It is a good place to walk (beautiful walks all around) and dream. There is an abundance of deer, eagles and birds.

The house is in a forest, 2 minutes from the Ocean. You can fall asleep listening to the waves… I designed it myself with the help of an architect friend. There are two small bedrooms and a very large living, kitchen, dining room area – all with view over the ocean and the North Shore mountains. There is a wood burning stove in the living room. The bathroom is very private but it has two large windows so you can watch the deer eating grass or the hummingbirds from the bathtub.

The house is on an estate (300 acres) communally owned by 30 people.
