Brand new one-bedroom flat in central London (King's Cross): Our flat has a built-in kitchen, separate entrance, bathroom and bedroom. It faces south-west, is bright and airy, and has balcony overlooking King's Cross, with views towards landmarks such as the BT Tower and the London Eye. The fittings and furnishings are all new. A highlight is our beloved super-king-size bed with a top-notch memory-foam mattress and pillows - you are guaranteed a great night's sleep! A third person can sleep on a guest bed we have stashed in our storage cupboard. The flat is between 6 and 12 minutes' walk (depending on what part you need to get to!) from the huge transport hub that is the combined King's Cross and St Pancras stations. As a result it is ultra-convenient for getting a direct bus, underground or train to just about anywhere in London and for travel to Paris. The British Museum is a 25-minute walk away through Bloomsbury, Camden market and Islington restaurants are a 20-minute walk away, and it is three underground stops from Oxford Street. It would take you 25 minutes by tube to get into the West End for a theatre trip. The neighbourhood is very urban and rapidly changing thanks to the redevelopment in the area north of the stations. New bars and restaurants are opening on a regular basis to cater to a growing population of young professionals and people working in newly opened office spaces. Last autumn, London's newest concert venue, King's Place, opened here only 5 minutes from our flat. Two concert halls have state-of-the-art acoustics and an impressive program of classical music and jazz. There are also two art galleries and a canal-side restaurant in the complex. Between our flat and the station you can access the Regent's Canal for a pleasant traffic-free walk to Camden and Regent's Park.
