A small, rustic, colorful and eco-friendly cabin (Kabana Azul)is uniquely situated in a natural setting with view of the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Located in the municipio of Patillas, in rural southwestern Puerto Rico, 57 miles from the San Juan Airport. Patillas is in one of the least commercially developed areas of Puerto Rico.

Nestled in trees, on a quiet 2 acre finca (farm), the home is ½ mile uphill from the beach. There is no thru-vehicular traffic. Six beaches are located within 6 miles; the closest is 3/4 mile away. Due to its elevation in the mountains, nights in the home are cooler. It is a 43 mile drive to the pier in the town of Fajardo where ferries sail to the spectacular islands of Culebra and Vieques.

The Kabana Azul is a wooden structure, 1 bath, 240 sq.ft interior, Dbl. bed for 2 persons; a futon is available to sleep a 3rd person. Equipped with TV, DVD, cable and washer/dryer.Outdoor furniture and hammock surrounded by trees and gardens.

Attached is covered outdoor balcony that is equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, appliances, BBQ,and dining furniture. An attached bamboo-enclosed outdoor shower adds a fun bathing dimension. Palm trees, banana trees, tropical fruit/flowers and formal and informal garden areas create an artistic panorama. The views, tranquility of the country setting, sounds of nature and landscape invokes the signature beauty of this residence.

As public transportation to rural areas is very limited or non-existent, renting a car is necessary.
