Our home is a very comfortable, 3 bedroom, 2 bath house on the west side of Vancouver Canada, not far from the ocean. It is bright, welcoming, family-friendly, and very conveniently located. There is a large deck which overlooks a private yard in the back. We are located within walking distance of many excellent shops, and are approximately 900m (about a 20 minute walk) from the beach at English Bay, which opens to the Pacific Ocean.
Our Neighborhood - Kitsilano, is an attractive and very walkable part of Vancouver along English Bay and not far from the University of British Columbia. We are about 20 minutes walk (10 minutes by bicycle) from Jericho Beach and Spanish Banks, and near to all kinds of amenities & activities including hiking, cycling, cafe's, bakeries, & restaurants, and fresh produce. There are many good small shops in the neighbourhood where one can get anything you need from excellent Greek food, to baked goods, fresh fruit, bagels or books. This is a wonderful area in the summer and it is actually quite easy to get by here without a car, both locally, and into downtown Vancouver.
Around Vancouver there are many interesting places to travel and explore for day trips or longer, including Granville Island, Stanley Park, Bowen Island, Whistler, the Sunshine Coast, the Gulf or San Juan islands or many destinations on Vancouver Island. Traveling inland to the wine-growing Okanagan Valley or the Canadian Rocky Mountains is also a beautiful trip from Vancouver.
