This elegant Greek Revival style home was built in 1897 by W. Anderson and family. Mr. Anderson founded the first bank of Westminster and there was a guest for lunch in the formal dining room every day. Restoration of the home was started in 1995 and every year something new is added. Year 2000 brought an addition for the indoor pool/spa. The home has 28 rooms including nine fireplaces, original old glass in windows, high ceilings, sitting porches, library, parlor and formal dining room. The home sits on 3 1/2 acres of manicured grounds and gardens with an ornamental pond and a fishing pond at the back of the meadow.
Magnolia Manor is a short walk to downtown Westminster, a small quaint southern village providing a glimpse of the past with it's train depot, specialty shops, and England's Old General Store.
The home is the private residence of JoAnn and Glenn Blake who are dedicated to producing some of the finest events in the upcountry including garden weddings. They enjoy sharing their home with guests from around the world.
