It is the last of the great Del Webb senior active adult communities built before the company was sold to Pulte Homes. One can only assume that it was made the crown jewel of the Del Webb national network of Active Adult communities in order to add value to the sale, as it contains numerous features not found in any Sun City before or after the sale. Wide boulevards, lakes, waterfalls and extensive landscaping enhance the home site layouts and frame the four 18-hole championship golf courses. From the moment you enter one of the gates, you sense the uniqueness of our lovely refuge and wonder if you have mistakenly found an exclusive resort.

Residents from all states and several other countries call Sun City Grand home for at least 4 winter months, and over half of the homes are occupied year around.

"Active" is not just a buzz word here as there are multiple Swimming Pools, tennis courts, Pickle Ball courts, Bocce Ball, Lawn Bowling, Softball, Fishing, Table Tennis, Spas, special interest clubs, and state of the art health clubs. We all complain happily that we have never been so busy since we were working full time. Nearby Phoenix has become the 12th largest US metropolitan center, boasting more amenities than many of its larger counterparts.

It is a perfect location for easily reaching many popular tourist destinations, including the Grand Canyon, Sedona, world class skiing resorts, and Baja Mexico.

One of our best kept secrets is nearby Algodones, Mexico, an unusual little border town, a short 3 hour drive away. What’s so unusual about Algodones? Within a four block radius there are more pharmacies, doctors, dentists and opticians than a similar four block area anywhere else in the world! And, this “border medical land” attracts thousands of Canadians and Americans weekly. What’s the big attraction? You can find heavily discounted prescriptions, eye-glasses, and medical and dental care. And, if you listen to your friends from Phoenix who go there, they can tell you that the care from their Algodones doctor or dentist is as good as anywhere back home. There is safe parking on the US side which is an easy walk into Mexico across the street to downtown.
