Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and The Grand Canyon
Reported by JoMar© All rights reserved.
... we decided to take a side trip, since we are so close, to Las Vegas, as John has never been there. (Not to mention, see CELINE!)
Wow, are we ever glad we did. I have been to Vegas, but as a child, so this was really like the first time, and we LOVED it! The lights, the water shows, the architecture, and the hustle of the city of Las Vegas were so exciting. CELINE DION!... this show, EVEN if she never appeared on stage was INCREDIBLE, honestly! You all would have loved it. Wish we could've taken photo's of it all.
We sure got warmed up, it was over 100°F everyday, and after being in such hot weather all over the world, New Zealand and EVEN Los Angeles were not warm!
The Grand Canyon, the largest canyon in the world, was breath-taking. It simply did not look real, it looked like a backdrop huge mural! We saw the 2nd largest canyon while we were in Africa called Fish River Canyon, do any of you remember that entry???

We also saw the Hoover Dam on the way to the canyon -- there is so much security there now since 9/11.
Met a great guy from Nagoya, Japan on this trip to Vegas, his name is Tosh, had fun hanging out. Hope you are well Tosh!
All in all, a great side trip all for $219.00 (plus Celine) each!
OK, it has been almost 13 months since we have been "home"... not sure I am ready. I am sure that I cannot wait to see "my kids", I truly cannot wait.
ONLY 9 MORE SLEEPS...
we are on our way,
Marc and John xo
