Apr 5, 2006 - Christchurch, New Zealand

Thought I would just say a quick hello to all from one of our last (OH NO) stops on this unbelievable magic adventure we have now been on for 11 months.

We are in Christchurch, New Zealand where it is their autumn season, and in full swing. It is such an odd sight to see all their trees in full "fall colours" and it is April, not October!

We are staying with Rebecca whom we met on our African safari way back in September/October. She has been kind enough to put us up in her home for the last 3 weeks of our 6 weeks here in New Zealand.

The last week or 10 days, John and I have just been "hangin' out" as we have done all that we need to do/see here. There are tons of emotions going on in our minds as we end the most wonderful year of our lives. We do want to come home and "we don't"... We are different people now, after this journey, we are sure; but not sure any of you have changed and that is somehow, odd for us.

We have met so many incredible people, and just want to continue meeting up with them somewhere else around the world... but ...

We are here in Christchurch until the 12th of April when we depart for some more sun and beach: the enchanted island of TAHITI for 9 or 10 days, to warm up again and to top up the faded tan of Indonesia.

On the 20th April we depart for our very last stop before Vancouver: Los Angeles and Palm Springs, California, where we will HOPEFULLY meet up with much missed friends, Sarah and Dean to do Disneyland for 3 days and have a personal breakfast with Mickey!!! Sarah, please, we hope your neck is better and our plans will unfold as planned.

We are again lucky enough to be staying with a good friend in Los Angeles, in the Laurel Canyon neighbourhood :-) Stephen, and cannot wait to see you again either Stephen!

After about 10 days in Laural Canyon, we will meet up with yet another great friend, Allen, who will take us back to Palm Springs for about 10 days and just un-wind, drink wine, visit with Allen's GREAT mom, swim, and perhaps "frolic" in the friendly pubs of luscious Palm Springs...

I am sure we will add another entry while in Tahiti, unless there are no internet cafes to be found, or they may be $10/hour... :-(

Vancouver sometime in May. Can't wait!!!
