Tourist information centers and most hotels provide detailed downtown maps. There are also good metropolitan area maps at the Vancouver Airport Tourism Centre kiosk. Additional source of a good maps is the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA). It is not for sale, but it is free to both AAA and CAA members and it is available at AAA and CAA offices across North America.
In downtown Vancouver, the International Travel Maps and Books at 539 West Pender St. (tel. 604/687 3320) provides the city's most extensive selection of Vancouver and British Columbia maps and specialty guide books. Additionally city maps are available at most gas stations, 7 Eleven stores, book stores, etc.
