Originally constructed in 1840, this home has pine walls, hardwood floors and rustic decor that compliment the natural surroundings. This non-smoking home, has a large eat-in kitchen, two br, living room and den, laundry room and with plenty of room for large families. Roam over five acres that include open meadow, pine forest or sit on the covered porch to enjoy the sound and sight of rushing water.
On this site is a 24' x 26' barn. A quiet road lends easy access to property in all seasons. New York State land directly across from the property protects the privacy of fishermen, swimmers and sunbathers. The shoreline has sandy beach areas and is large enough for setting up a tent, blankets for a picnic and reclining in lounge chairs. The property is along Ironman Bike course. We are located on the Keene/Upper Jay border.
Set in the high peaks, many recreational activities are nearby and can be enjoyed year round. For fishing, hiking, canoeing, tubing, rock climbing, biking, hunting, skiing, x-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, golfing, horseback riding etc., this is a great spot.
Mount Von Hovenberg and Whiteface Mountain Olympic venues are just 15 minutes away. Convenient to the quaint village of Lake Placid and the Olympic Center Complex, just 20 minutes away. International airports at Montreal, Canada, Albany, New York and Burlington Vt, are less than 2 hours away by car. Lake Champlain and the ferries to Vermont less than 40 minutes to the East.
