The Home has an excellent location in the Medieval Hamlet of the village of Calitri where restaurants, food market, grocery and bakery shops and everything else is within walking distance. Plenty of activities in Calitri can be enjoyed, explore the immediate areas around of Campania, Basilicata and Puglia. The Piano Laceno Ski Resort and thermal baths are only a short drive away.
The decidedly exotic ambiance at Casa del Preside is sure to appeal to the traveler with multiple destinations in mind - whether on this trip, or merely on flights of fancy.
Moroccan-style lanterns hang from the ceiling of the large main bedroom, while the brightly colored bedding and cushions in the sitting area, both made out of Indian textiles, complete the Eastern flair. A carpet, oversized cushions and rattan chair-pillow comprise the sitting area, creating what might be used as a mediation space.
With white paint, tiles and floors throughout, Casa del Preside easily reflects the large amount of sunlight that floods through the windows. The brightness of the space is only heightened by the deep colors of its decor, and the apartment exudes energy and tranquility at once.
The 80-m2 residence even has an extra room, which is unfurnished. Whether you use it to store your suitcases or place an air mattress for an overnight visitor, the flexibility and abundance of space it affords are rare among Medieval rental apartments.
The house also has a kitchenette entrance room with ample cabinet and dining space, either for the would-be chef who needs to stock up on ingredients, or for the traveler who will want to run to a nearby bakery in the mornings and set out the array of fresh breakfast goods on the table. Casa del Preside was renovated in 2006.
The one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment is conveniently located near Via Berrilli, one of Antico Borgos main streets.
Price includes a welcome package of high quality items such as 1/2 kg of Italian pasta, tasty tomato sauce, mineral water, salt, pepper, sugar, honey, teabags, tissues, bathroom soap and toilet paper. Internet access at the nearby Property Management office (charges apply).
