Eagles, heron, seals are to be seen often; or you may catch a glimpse of a sea-lion, an otter, alone or with a family, and of killer-whales. The smaller creatures of the extensive inter-tidal zone are equally fascinating. In summer (when the rocks are not slippery) you can get a good walk either east or west of Heron Cove and be amazed at how few other people you encounter
