Nearby Fairhope is a beautiful little town with over 200 boutique style shops with eclectic art deco appeal. The shops feature local artisan's, delicious food and beautiful southern appeal. The Fairhope Pier is the gathering place "town square", where people visit for seightseeing, to fish or just to enjoy the most amazing sunsets. Tired of the small town, then the fabulous city of New Orleans is just over two hours away.
Mainly, one would come to this area to relax, enjoy the outdoors, view sunsets on the Bay, stargaze under the oaks, swim, eat great fresh seafood, and walk the white sands of Gulf Shores. In short, one would come here to let life slow down for a while.
Our house is a small creole cottage near Mobile Bay cozily furnished with antiques and colorful art. We will provide bikes and small boat for enjoying the outdoors.
My name is Betsy Anderton. My husband Eric and I have three daughters all whom have travelled a great deal. They are ages 9, 5, and 3 and the older two have spent several weeks each abroad. I would like for my children to understand various cultures and see themselves as global citizens and not just as southern Americans. During the school year, I teach education courses at a local University via online technologies. My husband and brother co-own their own medical software company in nearby Mobile. My children are well behaved and very disciplined!
